Copyright is a protection of someone’s intellectual property. Fair Use is a part of the 1976 Copyright Act and allows someone to copy materials for nonprofit educational use only as long as it is reasonable. As a teacher, it is important to understand both of these terms when getting materials for the classroom. I would make sure I am allowed to use and reasonably distribute the materials that I need. I would explain these concepts to my students so they understand the importance of not stealing someone else’s work and teach them how to create their own work.  While implementing technology in the classroom can have some great benefits, there are also some issues that consequently come along with it. You may have heard of us because we are known for swimming with the manatees in the winter and scalloping in the summer! I am a senior here at Florida State University double majoring in Political Science and History with a minor in Education and will be attending law school in the fall. Then, in middle school, every student was given an iPad in which much of the work was to be completed on. These iPads carried over to high school and I used it more for online readings and to look up inf...
